KATHRYN BUCK BIOGRAPHY
Having initially trained in Italian Bel Canto (beautiful singing)
technique with Diana Stuart in Cambridgeshire for 7 years and then in
Kent for another 3 years, Kathryn's versatile voice has enabled her to
enjoy a variety of styles of music. Whilst singing for Opera Experience
in Cambridgeshire, she played the part of Maddelena from Verdi's
'Rigoletto', The Third Lady in Mozart's 'Magic Flute' and Meg in
Verdi's 'Falstaff' (in a workshop led by the great British
mezzo-soprano, Sarah Walker).
Whilst living in Kent, Kathryn's performances included the mezzo role
in Purcell's 'Hail Bright Cecilia' (Ode to St Cecilia's Day), the alto
role in Mozart's 'Requiem' and a large number of solo and group
performances including classical pieces, show songs, opera and jazz.
More recently, she was asked to perform a re-written version of James
Blunt's 'Goodbye my Lover' (re-named 'Goodbye my Brother') as a tribute
to a very special friend of a Kent family.
Kathryn has sung at numerous weddings, and is part of a small classical
group called The Celestine Singers who regularly perform at functions
in the Kent area.
Based in Cambridgeshire, Kathryn sings throughout the UK.
